Welcome back to the blog for another dose of cute little girls!
I met this family last year at my fall mini sessions when mama was still carrying her second little one. Big sister is so fun and sweet! It was taking a little time to warm up to the idea of having photos taken. Then, she turned on the sweet smiles 🙂
Their Ohio home just outside of Cleveland was the perfect setting for an in-home newborn lifestyle session. It was light and bright and full of detail and character. A home after my own heart for sure. The window seat in baby girl’s nursery was the most ideal spot for light and for the family to sit together. I love to back light images to get that glow around the kids and parents. This nursery lent itself perfectly to that style.
As I like to do in most of my in-home sessions for newborns and families, we shot in the baby’s nursery and the parent’s bedroom. Big sister was so cute reaching through the crib at her new baby sister while smiling and talking to her. Then, during some down time for baby to take a feeding break, we played and read some books until baby was all set with a full tummy. One thing I adore about these in-home sessions are that they are relaxed and real. I really get to connect and bond with the family and their little ones. Playing and reading with big sis was so fun! So those in-between moments are probably some of the most memorable.
I am especially in love with the photos of mom and dad each having their turn loving and adoring their second little girl. Such beautiful emotional and love is felt between them.
Thanks to this awesome family for having me in their home to help welcome their little peanut! Enjoy some favorites from their session below!
